Controller
The controller for personal data under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (nDSG) is Computer Repair Schmid & Partner AG, Mitteldorfstrasse 72, 5033 Buchs AG, Switzerland. Email: info@pcrepair.ch. We reply to enquiries from info@pcrepair-gaming.ch.
Scope
This notice covers the webshop, the PC configurator, the contact and repair forms, the customer account and the newsletter. It describes which personal data we process when you use the website, place an order or write to us.
Which data we process
Depending on how you use the site, we process your name, address, phone number, email address, order details and requested components, messages from the forms, and device and fault descriptions for repairs. The contract also includes the payment status, not the full card details: those are collected by the payment provider you choose.
When you visit the website, your IP address, date, time, page viewed and browser details may be stored in server logs. We need these logs for secure operation and troubleshooting.
Purposes
We process personal data to perform contracts: advice, orders, assembly, delivery, collection, payment, warranty and repair. We answer enquiries in order to prepare the requested quote or repair. We keep accounting records for as long as the Swiss Code of Obligations and the Ordinance on Business Records require. Processing follows the principles of Art. 6 nDSG, in particular purpose limitation, proportionality and transparency.
Newsletter
The newsletter box is pre-selected on the contact and repair forms. You can clear it before sending. Only if it stays selected do we store your email address in order to send occasional news and offers. You can withdraw consent at any time, for example by writing to info@pcrepair.ch. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing already carried out. We still send emails about an order, a repair or an enquiry, because they belong to that job.
Cookies and external services
We always set the cookies required for the cart, the session and the cookie choice «pcr_consent». Statistics, marketing and external media, in particular the OpenStreetMap map, load only after you consent. You can change your choice at any time via «Cookie settings» in the footer.
Spam protection for the forms
When you submit the contact or repair form, you solve a short calculation. The check runs on our server. No details are passed to third parties.
Fonts
We load all fonts locally from our server. There is no connection to Google Fonts.
Sharing with third parties
We share personal data where that is necessary for the purpose: with the website host, with Swiss Post or another carrier for delivery, and with the payment provider you choose (TWINT, PostFinance, Visa, Mastercard, PayPal or invoice). Those parties process the data on our behalf or as their own controllers for payment or transport. We do not sell personal data.
Disclosure abroad
Hosting, Swiss Post and the Swiss payment methods PostFinance and TWINT process data in Switzerland. Card payments and PayPal may involve disclosure abroad. Where no adequate level of data protection applies, we rely on the statutory exceptions or on appropriate safeguards under Art. 16 et seq. nDSG.
Retention
We delete enquiries that do not lead to a contract once they are no longer needed, usually after 24 months. We keep contract and accounting records for the statutory periods, usually ten years (Art. 958f CO). We delete server logs once they are no longer needed for security. We delete newsletter addresses after withdrawal.
Data security
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures against unauthorised access, loss and misuse. Forms and the shop are transmitted encrypted.
Your rights
You can request free information about the data we process about you (Art. 25 nDSG) and the surrender of certain data you have provided to us (Art. 28 nDSG). We correct inaccurate data. We delete or restrict data unless a statutory retention duty applies. You can withdraw consent at any time, in particular for the newsletter and optional cookies. Please send your request to info@pcrepair.ch. If we process data of people in the EEA, the rights under the GDPR also apply where it is applicable.
Complaint
You can complain to the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), Feldeggweg 1, 3003 Bern: edoeb.admin.ch.
